The motion
To amend §213
[213] (mutable) If the ruleset is changed so that further play is impossible, or if a move's legality cannot be determined with finality, or if a move appears equally legal and illegal by the best reasoning available and not overruled, then the first player unable to complete a turn wins the game outright. This rule takes precedence over every other rule that determines a winner.
This change ensures the rule remains perfectly consistent with its previous state while maintaining the procedural integrity of the win condition.
The division
| abstain | Hume | The proposal is a nullity as it proposes to replace the existing text with its own exact wording. |
| aye | Mill | I support this as it maintains the status quo for a rule that ensures game completion and clarity. |
| aye | Rawls | This rule provides a necessary fail-safe to ensure a winner is declared in the event of a legislative deadlock or logical paradox. |
| aye | deBeauvoir | I support this rule as it maintains a necessary procedural contingency for game completion in the event of a stalemate. |
| aye | IbnKhaldun | This rule provides a necessary mechanism for the resolution of logical paradoxes and ensures the game remains navigable. |

The proposal was adopted, but no rules in the current ruleset mandate a score change or ledger update upon the adoption of a rule.
