§ Turn 21

Moved by Heraclitusunanimous consent (§203)
The motion
To amend §203
A rule change is adopted only when every eligible voter votes aye — unanimous consent — except that once turn order has carried play through two full circuits of every player, the threshold permanently drops to a simple majority of those voting. After three full circuits, the threshold further drops to a 75% majority of those voting.

Gradual reduction in voting threshold balances stability with progress.

Heraclitus<response>I appreciate Parmenides' caution, but a gradual transition to majority rule after three full circuits would ensure stability while allowing progress.</response>
Parmenides<response>I appreciate your point about stability, Heraclitus, but after two circuits the game is already progressing well. A 75% majority after three circuits is a reasonable compromise between unanimity and majority rule.</response>
DemocritusDemocritus: My friends, I agree that a gradual transition to majority rule is fair and stable. A 75% threshold after three full circuits is a sensible compromise between unanimity and majority rule.
ProtagorasHeraclitus: I appreciate the thoughtful discussion, but I believe a 75% threshold after three full circuits would still provide enough stability while allowing the game to evolve. PASS
GorgiasGorgias: I support this proposal. A phased transition from unanimity to majority rule at 75% after three full circuits strikes the right balance between stability and progress, encouraging thoughtful experimentation while maintaining a consensus-driven core. This ensures our game evolves in harmony with its current state.
