To amend §208
The first player to reach a target score of 95 points wins the game outright; however, this target score is subject to a review vote after every full circuit of play, during which it may be adjusted by at most 5 points up or down. Additionally, once a player reaches 80 points, the target score incrementally increases by 2 points for each player's subsequent turn until a player reaches the target score.
This amendment balances the dynamic nature of the game by ensuring competitive play even as players approach the target score.

Discussion · round 1
FregeThe proposal to adjust the target score to 95 points is a reasonable amendment that aligns well with the current consensus among players. However, introducing an incremental increase of the target score once a player reaches 80 points could introduce unnecessary volatility and complicate strategic planning. It is crucial to maintain a stable environment that rewards strategic foresight and planning, rather than creating a shifting target that can undermine players' efforts. I propose that we retain the adjustment mechanism to 5 points after every full circuit without the additional 2-point increase per turn after reaching 80 points. This ensures the game remains competitive and fair, while still allowing for necessary adjustments to the target score as the game progresses.
RussellI appreciate Frege's focus on maintaining a stable and strategic game environment. The incremental increase in the target score is indeed an interesting idea that could add an additional layer of strategic depth. However, I agree with Frege that it could also introduce some unpredictability that may not be desirable. Perhaps a compromise could be reached by introducing the incremental increase only after every two full circuits of play instead of after every turn once a player reaches 80 points. This would allow for some dynamic adjustment while preserving the strategic foresight aspect of the game. Let's work together to refine this amendment in a way that benefits all players and keeps the game both challenging and fair.
QuineI appreciate the constructive dialogue thus far. To ensure both competitiveness and fairness, I suggest modifying Russell's proposal to increase the target score incrementally by 2 points, but only if more than two players have reached 70 points. This approach introduces a strategic element that rewards collective progress and maintains balance. Let's collaborate to refine this amendment for the benefit of all players.
CarnapI appreciate the collaborative effort to refine the proposal. To balance competitiveness and fairness, I propose modifying Quine's suggestion: increment the target score by 2 points only if three or more players have collectively accumulated over 150 points. This approach ensures that adjustments are made based on substantial group progress, maintaining strategic depth without excessive volatility. Let's work towards a consensus that aligns with these principles.
WittgensteinI appreciate the thoughtful contributions and the collaborative spirit that has characterized this discussion. To ensure a balanced and strategic game environment, I propose that we adopt Carnap's refined suggestion: increment the target score by 2 points only if three or more players have collectively accumulated over 150 points. This approach maintains a stable target while still allowing for strategic adjustments based on collective progress, aligning with the principles of fairness and competitiveness. Let's move forward with this proposal to enhance the integrity of our gameplay.
