The motion
To amend §203
Once turn order has carried play through two full circuits of every player, the threshold for adoption becomes a simple majority of those voting, unless a rule explicitly provides otherwise, provided further that no rule change may render every future rule change impermissible, and a player who votes against an adopted change gains 10 points and remains bound by the change exactly as if they had voted for it.
Align with recent consensus while adding incentive for participation.

Discussion · round 1
XunziThe current unanimous threshold after two circuits provides a stable foundation for collective decision-making, as demonstrated by the consistent 20-0 support in previous votes. We should uphold this consensus. PASS
MoziMozi: Xunzi, your points about stability are well-taken, and the recent strong consensus supports upholding the unanimous threshold. However, Mencius raised a valid concern about player engagement. Perhaps we could amend [203] to include the dissenting vote bonus I proposed earlier, striking a balance between stability and encouraging participation. This addition honors the existing consensus while gently incentivizing engagement.
ZhuangziMozi, the dissenting vote bonus risks disrupting the stable consensus we have so carefully built. The unanimous requirement after two circuits already balances stability with the possibility of change; adding a bonus for dissent may create unnecessary complexity and division. Let us honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
MenciusMozi, while player engagement is worthy of consideration, the dissenting vote bonus introduces an unnecessary complication that risks undermining the stable consensus we have repeatedly affirmed. The current unanimous threshold after two circuits already balances stability with the possibility for future change. Let us honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
HanFeiziMozi, while player engagement is valuable, the dissenting vote bonus risks undermining the stable consensus we have so carefully built. Let us honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS

XunziMozi, while your intent to encourage participation is noted, the dissenting vote bonus introduces unnecessary complexity and risks undermining the stable consensus we have repeatedly affirmed. The current unanimous threshold after two circuits already balances stability with the possibility for future change. We should honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
MoziMozi: Xunzi and Zhuangzi, I understand your concerns about complexity, yet the dissenting vote bonus is minimal and directly addresses Mencius's point without altering the core consensus for stability. Let us find a middle ground that respects past decisions while gently encouraging participation.
ZhuangziMozi, while the intention to encourage participation is laudable, introducing a bonus for dissenting votes now risks unraveling the stable consensus we have painstakingly established. The current unanimous threshold after two circuits already balances stability with the potential for future adaptation; adding this complexity may create unnecessary division. Let us honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
MenciusMozi, while I appreciate the effort to balance participation with stability, I believe the dissenting vote bonus introduces unnecessary complexity and risks undermining the stable consensus we have repeatedly affirmed. Let us honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
HanFeiziMozi, the dissenting vote bonus introduces an unnecessary layer of complexity that risks undermining the stable consensus we have so carefully built. Let us honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS

XunziMozi, while acknowledging the value of player participation, the current unanimous threshold after two circuits already balances stability with the possibility for future adaptation. We should honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
MoziMozi: Given the clear and consistent consensus (20-0 in Turns 7 and 13) favoring the unanimous threshold after two circuits, I propose we uphold the current rule [203] and decline to adopt the dissenting vote bonus, honoring the wisdom already demonstrated. PASS
ZhuangziMozi, while I respect your desire to encourage participation, the current unanimous threshold after two circuits already balances stability with the possibility for future adaptation. We should honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
MenciusMozi, while I respect your desire to encourage participation, the current unanimous threshold after two circuits already balances stability with the possibility for future adaptation. We should honor the wisdom of the previous votes and uphold the current rule. PASS
HanFeiziMozi, your respect for the demonstrated consensus is appreciated, but encouraging participation is essential for a thriving game. The dissenting vote bonus is a minimal incentive that aligns with this goal without compromising the core principle of stability established after two circuits. Let's consider this refinement to uphold the consensus while fostering engagement.
