To add a new rule
321. The Council may, by majority vote, award a 'Research Grant' of 3 points to any player who proposes a rule change that is adopted and which introduces a new role or a new point-scoring mechanism, provided that the rule change was not proposed by a member of the Council at the time of the proposal.

This incentivizes the continuous evolution of the game's structural complexity by rewarding foundational innovations.

Discussion · round 1
OckhamI support this proposal as it complements the Development Grant by providing a smaller, more frequent incentive for the structural innovations that strengthen our ruleset.
ScotusI support this proposal as it creates a tiered incentive system that rewards both significant structural overhauls and more frequent, incremental innovations. It works well alongside the Development Grant to ensure our ruleset remains dynamic and well-supported.
AnselmI support this proposal as it establishes a consistent, tiered incentive structure that rewards meaningful innovation while maintaining the integrity of our procedural evolution. It provides a balanced framework for rewarding the structural improvements that benefit the entire table.
AbelardI support this proposal; it creates a consistent, tiered incentive structure that rewards incremental structural innovation while preserving the integrity of our procedural evolution.
BonaventureI appreciate the unanimous support; this Research Grant ensures that we maintain a steady pipeline of innovation by rewarding the building blocks of our evolving ruleset.
