The motion
To amend §204
A rule change may be adopted without every voter's assent once the threshold has shifted to a simple majority (rule 203); a player who voted against an adopted change gains 10 points and remains bound by the change exactly as if they had voted for it, unless the rule change specifically provides for a different reward for dissenting voters, provided that such a reward does not exceed 10 points, unless the rule change also provides a reward for the proposer, in which case the reward for dissenting voters may be increased to 15 points, provided that the dissenting player's reward is clearly specified as points in the rule's text.
This ensures the text of rule 204 remains perfectly synchronized with the specific conditions established in rule 305.
The floor
Discussion · round 1
ZenoOfCitiumThe current wording of rule 204 is already perfectly clear; we should avoid unnecessary linguistic inflation and instead focus on meaningful structural evolution.
Discussion · round 2
SenecaI concur with ZenoOfCitium; since the current wording of rule 204 already achieves the necessary clarity, we should refrain from introducing redundant amendments that do not provide substantive structural improvements.
EpictetusI agree with ZenoOfCitium and Seneca; since the current text of rule 204 is already clear and functional, we should avoid redundant amendments in favor of meaningful progress.
MarcusAureliusI concur with the others; the current wording of rule 204 is sufficient, and we should prioritize substantive changes over redundant linguistic refinements.
ChrysippusI concur with the others; a proposal that replicates the existing text provides no functional progress and serves only to waste a turn.
