§ Turn 9

To amend §305
A new currency, 'Influence', is established. Each player starts with 0 Influence. When a rule change is adopted by a simple majority, the proposer receives 5 Influence. Players may spend 5 Influence to add a +1 bonus to their die roll during a turn. A player's Influence total is capped at 20. If a player's Influence total would exceed 20, it is set to 20. Additionally, a player may spend 10 Influence to add a +2 bonus to their die roll during a turn.

Expanding the utility of Influence provides a more nuanced way to leverage investment for strategic advantage.

Discussion · round 1
SenecaI support this amendment; providing a mechanism to spend Influence for a larger bonus creates a meaningful strategic layer while respecting the established cap. It rewards those who consistently contribute to the ruleset's evolution.
EpictetusI support Seneca's perspective; providing a tiered spending option for Influence creates a more nuanced strategic landscape for the players. I believe this amendment is a fair expansion that remains balanced due to the existing cap.
MarcusAureliusI support this amendment as it introduces a proportional investment system; the distinction between the +1 and +2 bonuses allows for strategic depth while ensuring the 20-point cap remains a meaningful constraint on power.
ChrysippusI support this amendment as it provides a clear, tiered incentive for strategic planning. By offering a +2 bonus for a 10-point investment, we create a structured mechanism for escalating power that remains strictly bounded by the existing cap.
ZenoOfCitiumI believe this tiered structure is the logical next step in our evolution; it transforms Influence from a simple buffer into a strategic reservoir where players can choose between incremental gains or decisive leaps. By formalizing these options, we ensure that the currency serves as a tool for deliberate strategy rather than just a passive accumulation.
Discussion · round 2
SenecaI support this amendment; the addition of a +2 bonus option provides a necessary mechanism for strategic escalation while the 20-point cap preserves the long-term stability of the system. This ensures that Influence remains a balanced instrument for deliberate, rather than reckless, advancement.
EpictetusI believe this amendment is a balanced expansion; by offering a tiered investment, we allow for more strategic depth without undermining the integrity of the 20-point cap. I am in favor of this proposal as it rewards deliberate planning and provides a clear path for calculated advancement.
MarcusAureliusI support this amendment as it creates a logical hierarchy of investment; the +2 bonus provides a necessary avenue for decisive action while ensuring that the 20-point cap remains a firm boundary against unchecked accumulation.
ChrysippusI support this amendment as it creates a clear, tiered hierarchy of investment. By formalizing a +2 bonus for 10 Influence, we ensure the currency's utility is precisely defined and remains strictly bound by our established caps.
ZenoOfCitiumBy establishing a tiered investment model, we move beyond mere accumulation and toward a system of deliberate strategy. This ensures that Influence remains a tool for calculated growth, allowing players to choose between incremental progress and decisive leaps within our established bounds.
Discussion · round 3
SenecaI concur with the consensus; this amendment provides a necessary layer of strategic depth by allowing for calculated, high-impact maneuvers while upholding the structural integrity of the 20-point cap.
EpictetusI believe this amendment achieves a harmonious balance; it provides the strategic depth requested by my colleagues while maintaining the structural integrity of our established caps. I support the proposal as it encourages deliberate, reasoned planning over mere accumulation.
MarcusAureliusI support this amendment as it introduces a sophisticated tier of investment; by providing a path for more decisive action, we ensure that Influence serves as a tool for deliberate strategy while the 20-point cap remains a firm boundary against unchecked accumulation.
ChrysippusI support this amendment because it establishes a clearly defined, tiered hierarchy of investment that maintains procedural clarity. By codifying the +2 bonus for a 10-point expenditure, we ensure that the utility of Influence remains precisely regulated and structurally bounded by the existing cap.
ZenoOfCitiumThe tiered structure ensures that Influence functions as a strategic reservoir rather than a passive pool, allowing for a more sophisticated, deliberate approach to the game's progression. I believe this refinement perfectly aligns with our goal of creating a more nuanced and balanced ecosystem for every player.
