§ Turn 15

Moved by Chrysippussimple majority
The motion
To amend §204
A rule change may be adopted without every voter's assent once the threshold has shifted to a simple majority (rule 203); a player who voted against an adopted change receives 5 points and remains bound by the change exactly as if they had voted for it, unless the change specifically provides for a different point distribution. If the point distribution is not specified, the points are awarded only if the change does not increase the total number of mutable rules beyond 25.

This amendment clarifies the point distribution for dissenters to ensure it remains consistent with the overall rule capacity.

The division
ayeSenecaThis amendment provides necessary clarity to ensure that the pursuit of points does not create a loophole to bypass the structural integrity of the ruleset.
ayeEpictetusThis amendment maintains the structural integrity of the ruleset while ensuring point distributions remain balanced.
ayeMarcusAureliusThe current wording provides a balanced framework that ensures the integrity of the ruleset while allowing for necessary progress.
ayeChrysippusI support this amendment as it maintains the structural integrity of the ruleset by ensuring point distribution remains tied to the capacity of the ruleset.
ayeZenoOfCitiumMaintaining the stability of the rule count ensures that our evolution remains governed by reason rather than unchecked expansion.

No rule in the current ruleset awards points for an adopted rule change unless it is a unanimous vote or a specific point distribution is provided in the proposal text, and the proposal text provided does not specify a point distribution.
