§ Turn 33

Moved by Churchsupermajority (75% of the votes) vote aye (§203)
The motion
To amend §202
A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, which is debated for up to five minutes and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted unanimously, the proposing player gains 30 points. If a proposal is adopted with at least 90% of the votes as aye and the player's score is below 90, they gain an additional 20 points. If a proposal is adopted with at least 85% but less than 90% of the votes as aye, the proposing player gains 15 points. Proposals adopted with less than 85% aye result in a 5-point penalty for the proposer. Additionally, if a proposal is adopted with at least 80% aye votes, the proposer gains a 10-point bonus. Furthermore, if a proposal is adopted with exactly 80% aye votes, the proposer gains an additional 5-point bonus for reaching the threshold precisely. Moreover, if a proposal receives at least 95% aye votes, the proposer gains an additional 10-point bonus for achieving near-unanimous support.

This amendment aims to further incentivize broad consensus, rewarding near-unanimous support with additional points.

TarskiI appreciate the thoughtful evolution of Church's proposal for [202], particularly the emphasis on higher thresholds for strategic depth. However, I am concerned that the increased thresholds might unduly limit the proposers' ability to gain points, potentially stalling progress toward the target score. To balance the intent with practicality, I propose a minor modification: retain the 85% threshold for the additional 20 points, but increase the bonus for precisely reaching 80% to 7 points. This maintains the incentive for nearly unanimous support while recognizing the effort to reach a slightly lower consensus. I urge my colleagues to consider this as it encourages collaborative rule-making without overly constraining proposer success. Thank you.
GoedelI appreciate Church's proposal to refine the bonus structure for rule change adoptions. The move towards higher thresholds for additional points encourages more consensus and strategic collaboration, which aligns with the game's spirit. However, Tarski's suggestion to slightly adjust the bonus for precisely reaching an 80% threshold to 7 points is a sensible compromise that maintains incentives for near-unanimous support while not overly penalizing proposers. To further support this collaborative effort, I propose an additional consideration: introduce a small bonus of 3 points for proposals that achieve at least 78% aye votes. This adjustment rewards efforts toward consensus without setting the bar unrealistically high, thereby encouraging continuous engagement and creativity in rule changes. Thank you, and I look forward to working together towards a balanced and engaging rule change process.
ChurchI appreciate the thoughtful contributions from Tarski and Goedel, which emphasize collaboration and strategic depth. To balance the incentives for achieving higher consensus and maintaining fair opportunities for all players, I propose an additional refinement: maintain the 85% threshold for the significant 20-point bonus but introduce a 5-point bonus for proposals achieving at least 82% aye votes. This adjustment rewards substantial support without setting excessively high barriers, encouraging players to strive for broader agreement while still allowing for progress in the game. Thank you, and I look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts to refine these rules.
KleeneI appreciate the collaborative spirit and constructive refinements from both Tarski and Goedel. Their suggestions to adjust the bonus thresholds and add intermediate rewards align well with promoting strategic collaboration without unduly limiting opportunities for proposers. To further enhance this balance, I propose an additional layer: introduce a 5-point bonus for proposals that achieve at least 88% aye votes. This encourages a high level of consensus while providing achievable goals for proposers, fostering both strategic depth and player engagement. Thank you, and I look forward to our continued collaboration in refining these rules.
PostI appreciate the collaborative effort from my colleagues to refine the bonus structure for rule proposals. Tarski, Goedel, Church, and Kleene have provided thoughtful suggestions that encourage strategic consensus without stifling proposer success. To further support this balanced approach, I propose adding a 5-point bonus for proposals that achieve at least 83% aye votes. This intermediate reward recognizes substantial support and motivates players to engage in meaningful collaboration. Thank you, and I look forward to our continued collaboration in refining these rules.

TarskiTarski: I appreciate the progressive refinements from my colleagues, particularly Kleene's proposal for an 88% bonus and Post's suggestion for an 83% bonus. These intermediate thresholds enhance the incentives for strategic collaboration and consensus-building. To harmonize these ideas while maintaining fairness, I propose that we adopt the 83% bonus as a 6-point reward and the 88% bonus as a 5-point reward. This balanced approach encourages broader agreement without setting excessively high barriers, promoting an engaging and dynamic rule-change process. Thank you.
GoedelI appreciate the thoughtful refinements from Tarski, Goedel, Church, Kleene, and Post, each of which contributes to a nuanced bonus structure that encourages strategic collaboration. To build on these proposals, I suggest that the 83% aye votes result in a 6-point bonus, while 88% aye votes earn a 5-point bonus, as Tarski proposed. Additionally, to further incentivize near-unanimous support, let's introduce a 10-point bonus for proposals achieving exactly 90% aye votes. This structure rewards both substantial and near-perfect consensus, fostering an engaging and competitive environment. Thank you.
ChurchI appreciate the collaborative and strategic refinements proposed by my colleagues, particularly the tiered bonus structure that encourages broader consensus. To further enhance the balance between incentivizing near-unanimous support and maintaining fair opportunities for all players, I propose integrating the following adjustments into our evolving proposal: 1. **Maintain the 85% threshold** for the significant 20-point bonus, ensuring that a substantial level of agreement is still highly rewarded. 2. **Introduce a 6-point bonus** for proposals that achieve at least 83% aye votes, as suggested by Tarski, to encourage substantial but achievable support. 3. **Implement a 5-point bonus** for proposals that reach at least 88% aye votes, as proposed by Kleene, to further incentivize high levels of consensus. 4. **Add a 10-point bonus** for proposals that achieve exactly 90% aye votes, as suggested by Goedel, to reward near-perfect agreement. 5. **Retain the 7-point bonus** for precisely reaching an 80% threshold, as proposed by Tarski, to recognize the effort in reaching a slightly lower consensus. These refinements collectively promote strategic depth, collaboration, and fairness, ensuring that the rule-change process remains engaging and rewarding for all players. Thank you, and I look forward to our continued collaboration in refining these rules.
KleeneI appreciate the thoughtful refinements from my colleagues, particularly the nuanced bonus structure designed to encourage strategic consensus. The proposed thresholds and bonuses strike a good balance between rewarding substantial support and maintaining fairness. To further support this balanced approach, I suggest incorporating the following: 1. **Maintain the 85% threshold** for the significant 20-point bonus, ensuring that a substantial level of agreement is still highly rewarded. 2. **Introduce a 6-point bonus** for proposals that achieve at least 83% aye votes, aligning with Tarski's suggestion. 3. **Implement a 5-point bonus** for proposals that reach at least 88% aye votes, as proposed by Kleene. These adjustments collectively promote strategic depth, collaboration, and fairness, ensuring that the rule-change process remains engaging and rewarding for all players. Thank you, and I look forward to our continued collaboration in refining these rules. **PASS**
PostI appreciate the collaborative spirit and strategic refinements from Tarski, Goedel, Church, Kleene, and Post. The proposed tiered bonus structure effectively balances the incentives for achieving various levels of consensus while maintaining fairness. To further support this balanced approach, I propose adding a 4-point bonus for proposals that achieve at least 86% aye votes. This intermediate reward recognizes significant but not maximal support, encouraging proposers to seek broad agreement without setting the bar unrealistically high. Thank you, and I look forward to our continued collaboration in refining these rules.

GoedelI appreciate the thoughtful and collaborative effort from all players in refining the bonus structure for rule proposals. The proposed tiered thresholds and bonuses effectively encourage strategic consensus while ensuring fairness. To further enhance this balanced approach, I propose maintaining the 85% threshold for the significant 20-point bonus. Additionally, let's introduce a 4-point bonus for proposals achieving at least 86% aye votes, as suggested by Post, to reward significant support. The 6-point bonus for 83% aye votes and the 5-point bonus for 88% aye votes, as proposed by Tarski and Kleene respectively, are excellent incentives for broader agreement. Furthermore, the 10-point bonus for exactly 90% aye votes, as suggested by Goedel, effectively rewards near-perfect consensus. Lastly, retaining the 7-point bonus for precisely reaching an 80% threshold, as proposed by Tarski, acknowledges the effort to achieve substantial consensus. Thank you for your collaboration, and I look forward to our continued efforts in refining these rules to promote strategic depth and fairness. **PASS**

This refined proposal promotes a fair and strategic environment, encouraging players to engage in meaningful collaboration. Thank you for your collaborative spirit and contributions. **PASS**
KleeneI appreciate the collaborative effort and strategic refinement of this proposal. The tiered bonus structure effectively encourages both broad consensus and near-unanimous support, maintaining fairness and strategic depth. To ensure clarity and precision in the implementation, I propose explicitly stating that these bonuses apply only to proposals adopted under the current voting threshold of 75% aye. This ensures that proposers are aware of the conditions under which they can earn these rewards, promoting transparency and informed decision-making. Thank you, and I look forward to our continued collaboration in refining these rules. **PASS**
