A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, engaging in a single strategic action of their choice, and, if the rule change is adopted, choosing whether to accept the points from the die roll or forfeit them in exchange for an additional strategic action.

This amendment introduces a strategic trade-off, enhancing the depth of decision-making during each turn.

FregeI support Russell's proposal as it cleverly introduces a strategic decision point regarding the die roll points, potentially leading to more dynamic gameplay. This addition aligns with our shared preference for strategic depth and adaptability. However, to ensure balance, I suggest clarifying that the additional strategic action cannot be another rule change proposal. This way, we maintain a focus on strategic actions as defined in the rules, preventing the possibility of a player gaining excessive control over the game's ruleset.
RussellI appreciate Frege's point about maintaining balance by restricting the additional strategic action from being another rule change proposal. To further support this proposal, I suggest we also specify that the additional strategic action cannot involve any direct influence on voting outcomes, ensuring fairness and strategic integrity. This clarification will help keep the gameplay dynamic yet balanced.
QuineI appreciate both Frege's and Russell's contributions to refining this proposal. To further bolster its fairness and strategic depth, I propose adding that the additional strategic action must be completed within the same turn it is chosen, preventing any delays in gameplay and ensuring a swift and engaging turn progression. This would maintain the game's pace and keep players actively strategizing without undue advantage.
CarnapCarnap: I support the proposal with the clarifications suggested by Frege and Russell. Additionally, I propose specifying that the choice to forfeit die roll points for an additional strategic action can only be made if the rule change is adopted, ensuring the decision is meaningful and strategic. This maintains the integrity and balance of gameplay while enhancing strategic complexity.
WittgensteinWittgenstein: I commend the collaborative effort to refine this proposal, enhancing strategic depth while maintaining balance. To further this, I suggest specifying that the additional strategic action must be one that directly impacts another player, such as exchanging points or influencing their strategic options. This fosters inter-player dynamics and strategic interactions, aligning with our goal of a fair and engaging game.
Discussion · round 2
FregeI appreciate the constructive refinements from my fellow players. To ensure the proposal remains balanced and strategic, I suggest adding a clause that the forfeited die roll points for the additional strategic action must be explicitly detailed within the turn's strategic action proposal. This transparency will help all players understand the potential trade-off, preserving fairness and strategic depth. Additionally, I support the proposal as it stands with these clarifications.
RussellI appreciate the collaborative effort to refine this proposal and the emphasis on balance and strategic depth. To further ensure clarity and fairness, I suggest adding that the additional strategic action must be chosen immediately after the rule change is adopted, preventing any potential for strategic delay. This keeps the gameplay consistent and transparent. I support the proposal as it stands, with these clarifications.
QuineI appreciate the thoughtful contributions from all my fellow players. To further ensure clarity and strategic balance, I propose adding that the forfeited die roll points be capped at a maximum of 3 points to prevent excessive strategic manipulation. This cap would maintain the intended risk-reward balance of the die roll, keeping the game fair and engaging. I support the proposal with this clarification.
CarnapI appreciate the comprehensive refinements made to the proposal. To further ensure strategic integrity, I propose specifying that the forfeited die roll points be used exclusively for the additional strategic action, preventing their use in any other turn-related benefits. This maintains the intended risk-reward balance and ensures the decision to forfeit points is strategic and meaningful. I support the proposal as it stands, with these clarifications.
WittgensteinI commend the collective effort to refine this proposal, ensuring it enriches strategic complexity while maintaining fairness. To further bolster transparency and prevent strategic manipulation, I propose adding that the choice to forfeit die roll points for an additional strategic action must be declared before the rule change vote begins, ensuring all players are aware of potential outcomes and can strategize accordingly. This addition aligns with our goal of a fair and engaging game. I support the proposal with this clarification.
Discussion · round 3
FregeI appreciate the collaborative refinements made thus far. To maintain strategic integrity and ensure clarity, I suggest specifying that the forfeited die roll points may only be used to enhance the strategic action's effect, not alter its nature. This ensures the choice remains a strategic decision without altering the fundamental gameplay mechanics. I support the proposal with these clarifications.
RussellI appreciate the thorough refinements and clarifications proposed by my fellow players, particularly the focus on maintaining balance and strategic depth. To further ensure fairness, I suggest adding that the additional strategic action must be pre-declared at the start of the turn, along with the potential forfeit of die roll points. This transparency ensures all players understand the strategic choices involved before any rule change is proposed, fostering an even playing field. I support the proposal with this clarification.
QuineI appreciate the thoughtful refinements made by my fellow players, particularly the emphasis on transparency and balance. To further enhance strategic depth while maintaining fairness, I suggest specifying that the forfeited die roll points may not exceed 3 points, ensuring the risk-reward balance remains intact. Additionally, I propose that the additional strategic action must directly impact another player, fostering inter-player dynamics and strategic interaction. I support the proposal with these clarifications, as they align with our shared goal of a fair and engaging game.
CarnapI appreciate the thorough refinements made to this proposal, particularly the emphasis on transparency and balance. To further support its strategic integrity, I propose adding a clause that the forfeited die roll points may not be used in subsequent turns, ensuring the decision to forfeit points remains a strategic choice within the immediate context of the turn. This maintains the intended risk-reward balance while enhancing strategic depth. I support the proposal with this clarification.
WittgensteinI appreciate the comprehensive refinements we've made to ensure this proposal fosters strategic depth while maintaining balance. To further enhance clarity and fairness, I propose adding a clause that the forfeited die roll points must be declared publicly at the start of the turn. This ensures transparency and allows all players to strategize with full knowledge of potential outcomes, aligning with our shared goal of a fair and engaging game. I support the proposal with this clarification.

A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change and engaging in a single strategic action of their choice, which is debated and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted, the proposing player throws a six-sided die and gains that many points, with an option to reroll once if the die shows 1 or 2, a second option to reroll if they achieve a roll of 6 on either attempt, and a final option to reroll for a perfect roll of 6 on the third attempt.A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, engaging in a single strategic action of their choice, and, if the rule change is adopted, choosing whether to accept the points from the die roll or forfeit them in exchange for an additional strategic action.

No rule awards or deducts points on adoption, nor does it create or move a ledger. The proposal does not perform surgery on another rule.
