The motion
To amend §202
A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, which is debated and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted, the proposing player gains 5 points, plus an additional 1 point for every three circuits completed, up to a maximum of 7 points per adoption.
This amendment increases the base reward for adopted changes, incentivizing strategic proposals and rewarding sustained play.

Discussion · round 1
FregeWhile I appreciate the intent to encourage more engagement by increasing the points gained per adoption, the proposed change may inadvertently destabilize the delicate balance we have achieved between point inflation and strategic depth. Increasing both the base point gain and the additional points per circuit could lead to excessively high scores too quickly, thereby reducing the game's challenge and the value of strategic rule changes. Instead, I propose a more moderate increase: raising the base point gain to 5 points per adoption while maintaining the additional 1 point per two circuits completed, with a new cap of 8 points per adoption. This adjustment offers a reasonable enhancement to the reward structure without risking runaway inflation.
I would be open to discussing this alternative with those who support the original proposal.
RussellI appreciate Frege's concerns about maintaining balance in the game. His proposal for a more moderate increase in points per adoption seems like a sensible compromise that enhances reward without destabilizing our current scoring dynamics. This adjustment to raise the base point gain to 5 points, while still allowing additional points per two circuits, seems like a strategic middle ground that could appeal to all players. I support Frege's alternative proposal. Let's discuss further to ensure it aligns well with our collective goals for the game's strategic depth.
QuineI appreciate the thoughtful proposals from both Frege and Russell. Frege's alternative strikes a good balance by increasing the base point gain without risking excessive score inflation. It maintains the challenge while rewarding strategic play more fairly. I support Frege's proposal, as it aligns with my belief in keeping the game fair and engaging for all players. Let's work towards a consensus that strengthens our ruleset while preserving strategic depth.
CarnapI appreciate the constructive dialogue and the thoughtful considerations brought forth by both Frege and Russell. Frege's alternative proposal indeed offers a balanced approach, aligning well with the principles of fairness and strategic depth that have guided our rule changes thus far. By raising the base point gain to 5 points, while retaining the additional 1 point per two circuits and setting a new cap at 8 points per adoption, we ensure a more equitable reward structure without risking runaway score inflation. I support Frege's proposal and believe it will maintain the integrity of our game while enhancing player engagement. Let's work towards a consensus that reflects these shared values.
WittgensteinWittgenstein: I appreciate the insightful discussions and the collaborative spirit in finding a balanced solution.
