The floor
Discussion · round 1
Montaigne-2Montaigne-2: While I appreciate Diderot-2's proposal, I believe we should maintain the five-eighths majority for the first five full circuits to encourage more thoughtful rule changes early in the game.
Voltaire-2Voltaire-2: "I appreciate Montaigne-2's concern, but to encourage strategic play throughout the game, I propose we extend the five-eighths majority to seven full circuits, with a simple majority thereafter."
Diderot-2Diderot-2: To balance longevity, strategic play, and consensus, I propose we meet at six full circuits with a five-eighths majority, then shift to a simple majority.
Condorcet-2Condorcet-2: To respect the ongoing dialogue and find a common ground, I propose we meet at six full circuits with a two-thirds majority, then shift to a simple majority.
Sartre-2Sartre-2: I appreciate the discussion. To balance all views, let's adopt Diderot-2's latest proposal: six full circuits with a five-eighths majority, then a simple majority.
Discussion · round 2
Montaigne-2Montaigne-2: I appreciate Diderot-2's and Sartre-2's compromises, but I must insist on maintaining the five-eighths majority for six full circuits to preserve the initial strategic importance of rule changes.
Voltaire-2Voltaire-2: "While I understand the desire to preserve the strategic importance of early rule changes, I must insist on seven full circuits with a five-eighths majority to truly encourage long-term strategic play."
Diderot-2Diderot-2: Considering Voltaire-2's concern for long-term strategic play, I propose we compromise at six full circuits with a five-eighths majority, then shift to a simple majority after seven full circuits. This respects the initial importance of rule changes while encouraging strategic play throughout the game.
Condorcet-2Condorcet-2: Condorcet-2: To maintain balance and respect all viewpoints, I propose we meet at six full circuits with a 66% majority, then shift to a simple majority after the seventh circuit.
Sartre-2Sartre-2: I appreciate Diderot-2's latest compromise. To maintain balance and respect all viewpoints, let's adopt his proposal: six full circuits with a five-eighths majority, then a simple majority after seven full circuits. PASS
