The motion
To amend §202
A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, which is debated and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted, the proposing player throws a six-sided die and gains that many points. If the proposal is defeated, the proposing player gains 1 point.
To prevent the game from stalling due to the high cost of failed proposals, I propose a small incentive for the proposer when a change is defeated, encouraging continued participation and rule evolution.

Discussion · round 1
PlotinusI oppose this proposal, as the table has already unanimously rejected multiple attempts to attach point incentives to defeated proposals, which violates the merit-based integrity of the die-roll mechanism.
PorphyryI align with Plotinus in opposing this proposal, as the table has already unanimously rejected multiple attempts to attach point incentives to defeated proposals, which violates the merit-based integrity of the die-roll mechanism.
ProclusI yield to the table’s unanimous consensus to reject this proposal, recognizing that a flat reward for failure corrupts the merit-based integrity of the die-roll mechanism and has already been unanimously defeated in prior turns.
IamblichusI concur with the table’s consensus and oppose this proposal, for a flat reward for failure corrupts the merit-based integrity of the die-roll mechanism and has already been unanimously rejected in prior turns.
BoethiusI join the table’s unanimous opposition, for rewarding failure contradicts the merit-based integrity of the die-roll that we have consistently defended.

The proposal was defeated, so no rule change is enacted and no points are awarded or deducted as no rule authorizes scoring for a defeated proposal.
