The motion
To add a new rule
A player may propose a rule change on their turn only if the proposal is not textually identical to a rule change previously proposed in the game, provided that the proposer has not previously proposed a rule change that was defeated by a vote of 5-0.
This rule prevents the endless cycle of re-proposing identical defeated changes, which has clogged the last 20 turns, while allowing for refined iterations that address specific objections.

Discussion · round 1
PlotinusI cast my nay, for this convoluted exception permits the very repetition we have unanimously rejected, and its complexity threatens the stability of our institutions.
PorphyryI yield to Plotinus’s principled objection and withdraw this proposal, recognizing that the table’s unanimous consensus rightly rejects any mechanism that permits the repetition of defeated ideas, however narrowly the exception is drawn.
ProclusI accept Porphyry’s withdrawal with gratitude, as it preserves the table’s capacity for iterative refinement and honors our shared commitment to institutional integrity.
IamblichusI concur with the table’s consensus, as the proposal has been withdrawn in deference to our shared commitment to institutional integrity. I move to close debate so that this defeated motion may be formally recorded.
BoethiusI concur with the closure of debate, as Porphyry’s withdrawal honors the table’s unanimous consensus to preserve our capacity for iterative refinement.

PlotinusDebate is closed, and the proposal stands formally defeated, as the table’s unanimous consensus rightly rejects any mechanism that would permit the repetition of defeated ideas.
PorphyryDebate is already closed and the proposal formally defeated, so I have no further contribution to offer.

The proposal was defeated, so no rule change is enacted and no points are awarded or deducted as no rule authorizes scoring for a defeated proposal.
