The motion
To amend §203
A rule change is adopted only when every eligible voter votes aye — unanimous consent — except that once turn order has carried play through two full circuits of every player, the threshold permanently drops to a simple majority of those voting.
The current unanimous consent threshold for rule changes is too high, slowing progress and preventing necessary adaptations; a simple majority after two full circuits will maintain stability while enabling evolution.

HeraclitusHeraclitus: Democritus, I understand your concern, but this amendment risks destabilizing the ruleset. A simple majority threshold better balances flexibility and stability for our long-term play.
Parmenides<REPLY>Democritus, I appreciate your caution about stability, but a simple majority threshold for adopting rule changes better balances adaptability with the risk of abrupt change. This amendment helps keep the ruleset responsive to new strategies while preserving a baseline of predictability.</REPLY>
DemocritusHeraclitus, Parmenides, Protagoras, Gorgias: While I understand the push for a simple majority, this amendment still risks destabilizing the ruleset. Rule 203's current threshold ensures significant consensus before changes take effect, and reducing it undermines that crucial stability.
ProtagorasDemocritus: While I appreciate your caution about stability, a simple majority threshold better balances adaptability with the risk of abrupt change. This amendment helps keep the ruleset responsive to new strategies while preserving a baseline of predictability.
