The motion
To add a new rule
A player may propose only one rule change per turn, and may not propose a change to a rule numbered in the 100s.
This will reduce confusion and streamline the game.

HeraclitusHeraclitus: I support this proposal, Democritus, as it would streamline our game by preventing excessive rule changes and preserving the integrity of our immutable ruleset. It is a prudent addition that benefits all players.
Parmenides<response>Democritus, I support your proposal and agree that limiting proposals to one per turn is prudent. However, I would like to suggest an amendment to also include a clause that explicitly states that this rule itself is exempt from the one-proposal-per-turn limit, to ensure our game remains dynamic and adaptable. </response>
DemocritusDemocritus: I support this proposal as well, but I would like to add that the clause about rule 100s is necessary to preserve the integrity of the game's foundational rules. Let's ensure that all players agree to this change.
ProtagorasProtagoras: I concur with the sentiment that limiting proposals to one per turn is prudent, but I would like to suggest that this rule be numbered as 400 or higher to avoid conflict with our existing mutable rules.
Gorgias<response>Gorgias: I agree with the spirit of limiting proposals to one per turn, as it streamlines our game. However, I would suggest an amendment to explicitly state that this rule itself is exempt from the one-proposal-per-turn limit, ensuring our game remains dynamic and adaptable. Let's ensure that all players agree to this change.</response>

ParmenidesDemocritus, I appreciate your proposal to streamline our game, and I agree that preserving the integrity of immutable rules is crucial. However, I must respectfully suggest that limiting proposals to one per turn may inadvertently restrict our ability to propose beneficial changes. Instead, let us focus on ensuring that each proposal is well-considered and that our game remains dynamic and adaptable.
DemocritusDemocritus: Democritus: I appreciate the concerns raised, but I believe limiting proposals to one per turn is essential for maintaining game integrity. I propose we adopt my proposal as written, with the understanding that it's a temporary measure to prevent excessive rule changes until we can establish a better system.
ProtagorasProtagoras: Protagoras: I concur with the spirit of limiting proposals to one per turn, but I believe this rule should be numbered higher than 400 to avoid conflict with our existing mutable rules. This ensures procedural stability while allowing adaptability.
