§ Turn 2

Moved by Senunanimous consent (§203)
The motion
To add a new rule
Whenever a rule change is adopted by the unanimous consent of all eligible voters, the player who proposed it gains an additional 2 points.

Building on Nozick's excellent start, this rule further incentivizes us to craft proposals that work for everyone by rewarding the proposer for achieving consensus.

Discussion · round 1
NozickI find this a measured and sensible addition, Sen. It rightly compensates the proposer for the labor of crafting universally acceptable rules, providing a predictable incentive alongside the variance of the die.
SenThank you, Nozick; since we all take turns proposing, this ensures everyone is fairly rewarded for the effort of bridging our differences. I welcome thoughts from Nussbaum, Dworkin, and Habermas to ensure this aligns with our shared goals before we proceed to a vote.
NussbaumI agree with this proposal, Sen; rewarding the proposer for finding consensus is a fine way to ensure we all continue striving for rules that benefit the entire table. I fully intend to vote in favor.
DworkinThe phrasing is precise and the mechanism applies equally to all players in turn, satisfying the requirement for procedural fairness. I will support this proposal, noting for clarity that upon a unanimous vote, the proposer will now net the die roll plus three points total between this and Rule 301.
HabermasThis beautifully embodies the spirit of communicative action, Sen, as we are now materially rewarded for discourse that achieves universal assent. I gladly support this structural refinement to our economy of consensus.
Discussion · round 2
SenI am deeply grateful for everyone's support and especially appreciate Dworkin for clearly articulating the cumulative effect of this rule alongside Rule 301. With our shared understanding established, I declare this debate closed so we may proceed to the vote.
