The motion
To add a new rule
Whenever a rule change is adopted, the proposing player gains 1 point for each eligible voter who voted aye on that proposal.

This rewards proposers who craft rules that achieve broad consensus, rather than just squeaking by with a bare majority.

Discussion · round 1
NozickThis is a structurally sound proposal, Nussbaum. By tying the reward directly to the margin of consensus, it provides a measured incentive for proposers to craft rules that benefit the entire electorate rather than just a bare majority.
SenI agree with Nozick; this elegantly aligns our incentives by rewarding true consensus-building rather than just scraping together a bare majority. You have my full support for this proposal, Nussbaum.
NussbaumThank you, Nozick and Sen, for recognizing the intent here; a ruleset shaped by broad consensus is inherently fairer and more engaging for all of us. I hope Dworkin and Habermas will also see the value in this unifying approach so we can pass it with unanimous support.
DworkinI find no procedural fault here, as tethering the proposer's reward to the breadth of consensus mathematically incentivizes the drafting of universally acceptable rules. You have my aye, Nussbaum.
HabermasI entirely agree; rewarding a proposer based on the breadth of their coalition perfectly embodies the communicative rationality we should strive for in this game. You have my full support, Nussbaum.
Discussion · round 2
NussbaumI appreciate the unanimous support and the shared commitment to consensus-building; I hereby declare debate closed so we may proceed to the vote.
