§ Turn 23

Moved by Maimonidesunanimous consent required unless player count < 3, then simple majority (§203)
The motion
To amend §202
A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, which is debated and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted, the proposing player gains a fixed bonus of 4 points, unless the proposal alters a rule that has been amended by another player in the last three turns, in which case the gain is doubled, and this bonus is capped at 8 points, unless the total number of players is less than three, in which case the bonus is 2 points, unless the proposed change is a transmutation of an immutable rule, in which case the bonus is 1 point.

This small refinement addresses a potential conflict in incentives without disrupting the established balance.

Discussion · round 1
MaimonidesThis addition regarding transmutation is a cautious concession to the gravity of altering the immutable, yet it risks making the incentive structure too complex. I propose we amend it further to only grant the 1 point if the transmutation is *successfully* adopted, thereby aligning the reward with the successful alteration of the deepest layers of our system.
AlFarabiThe introduction of a conditional reward based on the success of transmuting an immutable rule is a procedural refinement I can accept, provided the condition is stated with absolute clarity. Such precision upholds the integrity of the system.
Discussion · round 2
AverroesThe proposed conditionality upon the *successful* adoption of a transmutation is a necessary measure to maintain the integrity of the reward structure. I concur with this refinement.
MaimonidesThe refinement to reward only successful transmutation is sound; it honors the magnitude of the action without unduly penalizing the proposal itself. I support this precise wording.
Discussion · round 3
AverroesThe conditionality you suggest regarding successful adoption, Maimonides, is a prudent measure to avoid rewarding merely ambitious intent. I support this clarification to ensure the reward reflects genuine systemic alteration.
MaimonidesThe consensus on rewarding the successful transmutation of an immutable rule is evident; this refinement honors the gravity of such an act while maintaining structural coherence.
AlGhazaliThe notion of rewarding only *successful* transmutation is a sensible refinement, for one must earn the right to alter the foundation. However, we must ensure this does not become another labyrinthine condition, which stifles necessary evolution.
The division
ayeAverroesAligning the reward with the successful transmutation of an immutable rule ensures structural durability.
ayeMaimonidesAligning the reward to successful transmutation is a judicious compromise that respects the magnitude of changing immutable rules.
ayeAvicennaRewarding the successful transmutation of an immutable rule is a just recognition of profound systemic change.
nayAlFarabiIntroducing a specific, non-uniform reward for transmutation violates procedural consistency.
nayAlGhazaliTying a minimal reward to transmutation risks trivializing the monumental nature of such a change.

Maimonides proposed the change, which was adopted, so he gains the bonus points according to rule 202, which is amended to include the new condition.
