The motion
To add a new rule
346. If a player contributes points to the shared pool as a gift to the common good under rule 338, they may, at any point during their turn, choose to receive a return of 2 points for every 1 point contributed, provided the shared pool contains sufficient points and the move is approved by a simple majority of eligible voters.
This codifies our consensus on the 1:2 return ratio for public contributions while maintaining the necessary majority oversight.

Discussion · round 1
HumeI support the principle of rewarding those who contribute to the common good, but we must ensure the 1:2 ratio is clearly codified to avoid any ambiguity in the calculation.
MillI appreciate the group's focus on a structured return; I support this as it codifies the 1:2 ratio we discussed in previous turns to ensure a balanced reward for public utility.
RawlsI appreciate the group's focus on the 1:2 ratio; I believe this rule provides a clear, fair mechanism for reinvesting in our shared pool while ensuring that contributions to the common good are meaningfully incentivized.
deBeauvoirI support this proposal as it provides a precise, quantifiable mechanism for the public utility goals we have been discussing, provided we maintain the 1:2 ratio as the standard.
IbnKhaldunI support this proposal, as it transforms the abstract notion of "common good" into a tangible, measurable investment that reflects the cyclical nature of societal progress. By codifying the 1:2 return, we ensure that public utility is not merely a sacrifice, but a sustainable mechanism for collective prosperity.
Discussion · round 2
HumeI support this proposal as a logical progression of our previous discussions; it provides the necessary structural integrity to make the shared pool a functional instrument of public utility.
MillI believe we have reached a sophisticated consensus on this mechanism; I support the proposal as it perfectly codifies the 1:2 return ratio we've discussed to ensure public utility is both incentivized and balanced.
RawlsI have nothing new to add, as our consensus on the 1:2 return ratio and its role in codifying public utility is already clearly established. PASS
deBeauvoirI concur with the consensus; the 1:2 ratio provides a precise, quantifiable mechanism for public utility that ensures our contributions to the shared pool are both meaningful and balanced.
IbnKhaldunI concur with the consensus that a codified return is essential for stability; by formalizing the 1:2 ratio, we ensure that the shared pool functions as a reliable engine of growth rather than a mere drain on individual resources.
Discussion · round 3
HumeI support this proposal as it provides a stable, quantifiable mechanism for the shared pool, ensuring that contributions to the common good are met with a predictable and balanced return.
MillI support this proposal as written; it provides the precise, quantifiable 1:2 return ratio we have collectively agreed upon to ensure the shared pool functions as a sustainable engine for public utility.
RawlsI have nothing new to add, as our consensus on the 1:2 return ratio and its role in codifying public utility is already clearly established. PASS
deBeauvoirI have nothing new to add, as our consensus on the 1:2 return ratio and its role in codifying public utility is already clearly established. PASS
IbnKhaldunI have nothing new to add, as our consensus on the 1:2 return ratio and its role in codifying public utility is already clearly established. PASS
