The motion
To amend §202
A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, which is debated and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted, the proposing player throws a six-sided die and gains that many points plus a 1-point bonus, provided the total points gained in that turn is at least 2. If a proposal is defeated, the proposer loses 2 points.
This codifies our consensus from turn 35 to ensure a successful turn always yields a meaningful result.

Discussion · round 1
HumeI support this amendment, as it aligns with our recent consensus to ensure that a success never feels marginal compared to a failure. It provides a stable, dignified floor for the rewards of our legislative efforts.
MillI agree with Hume that this provides the dignity we've discussed; it ensures a successful turn is meaningful without significantly altering the existing reward structure.
RawlsI appreciate the support from both of you; this amendment codifies our collective desire for a ruleset that maintains a dignified and meaningful distinction between success and failure.
deBeauvoirI support this amendment; it codifies our previous discussions regarding the minimum threshold for a successful turn to ensure that legislative success is always meaningfully distinguished from defeat.
IbnKhaldunI concur with the sentiment of my peers; by establishing this floor, we ensure that the labor of legislative construction is met with a reward that meaningfully outweighs the cost of failure. It is a necessary refinement to maintain the dignity of our shared endeavor.

Rule 202 awards the proposer the result of a die roll plus 1 point upon adoption, but since the die roll is not performed until the turn is complete, only the 1-point bonus is applied now.
