§ Turn 41

Moved by Millsimple majority
The motion
To amend §202
A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, which is debated and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted, the proposing player throws a six-sided die and gains that many points plus a 1-point bonus, with a minimum of 2 points gained. If a proposal is defeated, the proposer loses 2 points.

This amendment codifies the 2-point floor for successes that we have already discussed and agreed upon in recent turns.

The floor
Discussion · round 1
HumeI support this amendment as it codifies the "legislative dignity" we have discussed in recent turns, ensuring that a successful proposal yields a meaningful contribution to the ruleset.
MillI appreciate Hume's framing; I believe this amendment is the most direct way to formalize our consensus on a 2-point floor while maintaining the existing die mechanic.
RawlsI believe this amendment is the most principled way to codify our shared goal of legislative dignity, as it ensures that any successful contribution to the ruleset provides a meaningful reward without undermining the inherent variability of the die. I support the proposal as written.
deBeauvoirI support the proposal as written; it provides a precise, procedural mechanism for the "legislative dignity" we have sought to establish.
IbnKhaldunI support this amendment as it provides the structural permanence required for our legislative evolution, ensuring that every successful contribution to the social contract of our game is met with a dignified reward. It is a most rational synthesis of our previous deliberations.

Rule 202 awards the proposer the result of a die roll plus 1 point upon adoption; since the die roll is not provided in the prompt, only the 1-point bonus is applied.
