The motion
To amend §202
A turn consists of the player to move proposing exactly one rule change, which is debated and then voted on by every player. If the proposal is adopted, the proposing player throws a six-sided die and gains that many points, unless the proposal was adopted by a simple majority under rule 203, in which case the proposer gains 0 points, or if the proposal was an amendment to rule 204 that reduced the point reward to 0, in which case the proposer gains 0 points regardless of the voting margin. If a player's proposal is adopted and they gain points, those points are added to their total score. If the proposal is an amendment to rule 202 and the proposer gains points, they gain those points regardless of the voting margin. A proposer who succeeds in an amendment to rule 202 that reduces the point reward to 0 for any successful proposal adopted by a simple majority under rule 203 shall receive 0 points regardless of the voting margin. Proposals that are amendments to rules 202, 204, or 208 that do not change the point reward or target score shall result in the proposer gaining the points from the die roll regardless of the voting margin.
This ensures that clarifying structural rules remains a productive way to gain points while preserving our agreed-upon limits on point-inflation.

Discussion · round 1
OckhamI support this amendment as it ensures that technical clarifications to our core structural rules are not penalized by the current scoring restrictions. It aligns with our collective goal of refining the ruleset's durability without arbitrarily stripping the proposer of their earned points.
ScotusI agree with Ockham; this adjustment recognizes that refining our foundational infrastructure is a service to the game's stability and should be rewarded accordingly.
AnselmI support this amendment as it creates a fair incentive for players to perform the necessary "maintenance" on our foundational rules. By rewarding these technical refinements, we ensure that the structural integrity of the game remains a priority for everyone.
AbelardI support this amendment; it ensures that the procedural work of refining our core infrastructure is appropriately recognized, maintaining a consistent incentive for technical clarity.
BonaventureI fully support this amendment; by decoupling technical maintenance from the majority-vote penalty, we encourage the steady, high-quality refinement of our game's core architecture.
Discussion · round 2
AnselmI have nothing new to add.
